Gregory Blair
2010: The Year in Review

I'm coming out! (On film, that is!)

This year I've had more projects come out than any other year to date! The list includes:

--the partially animated web series LARRY LABRAT which hit cyberspace. I'm in the "Ear" and "Tailagra" episodes and I play the lead scientist who experiments on poor little Larry.

--SAMURAI AVENGER: THE BLIND WOLF came out on DVD. If you're up for a surreal, campy yet stylish sushi western slasher, you'll see me as a snarky jailer who gets whacked. But I get a good laugh before eating it.

--Art Zapata's heartfelt film THE LAST MUSKETEER debuted at the Riverside International Film Festival and won the "Southern California Filmmaker Award". I play Sweet Tooth, a donut-addicted construction worker who works with the recovering alcoholic lead.

--the pilot for the sci-fi/noir fantasy THE IMMORAL DR. DICQER, is being shopped as I write this. I play the over-the-top, megalomaniacal Baron out to sabotage the not-so-good Doctor. Cool green screen effects and anthropomorphic madness!

--and finally, the hilarious feature film CAMP VIRGINOVICH should be released in theaters any day now. It's about two high school virgin nerds going to a camp guaranteed to get them laid. (Think "Superbad" meets "American Pie") I play the dorky lead's even dorkier dad. Great role!

On the writing side, my screenplay "Reign of Madness" was a quarterfinalist in the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition and then the year ended with my New Year's Eve stage thriller "Cold Lang Syne" getting its world premier in glamorous Hollywood. The script has already been requested by other theaters..and a film version is in the works! So I should have more exciting news to relay in 2011!

Till then, hope all is well with all you who stumble upon these words.

All the best,

~Gregory
