2011: The Year in Review
The year began with the world premier of my stage thriller "Cold Lang Syne" taking its final bows…just in time to have Redford Mejia of 701 Productions ask me for the rights to make the film version. Good thing I already had a screenplay ready!

Mejia liked my "Cold Lang Syne" screenplay so much, he asked me to write another screenplay for him. That kept my January busy. Thrilled with what I came up with, Mejia bought that screenplay as well and so both films are slated for production!

In February, the sci-fi/noir fantasy THE IMMORAL DR. DICQER, came out as a web series and my evil bunny-eared Baron got more exposure. It's at longshadowfilms.com and I first appear in episode 2.

Back on the writing side, I started my new blog and then my horror short story collection "Little Shivers" was published; it's now available as a Kindle/Nook book at Amazon and Barnes&Noble). You can download an app from Amazon and read it on your PC if you don't have a Kindle.

Summer meant a trip to New York to catch up on Broadway's offerings. Then my horror novel THE RITUAL began its ebook debut. It was released as a serial (ala Charles Dickens) so only one part appeared each month. You can get it at Amazon and Barnes&Noble. I also became a member of the Independent Author Network and have my own author page.

Summer also saw my cast in another Longshadow webisode: the animated HORDE BUSTERS, where I voice Chesmere, a slightly nerdy, Orc-fighting wizard. I also played a SWAT Soldier in an episode of ALTERNATE HISTORY for SpikeTV.

As Fall snuck in, I appeared as the guest on Actors Entertainment, a live chat web show where I talked and answered questions about my experiences as an actor and a writer. You can watch it here.

I did some audio work for the film CAMP VIRGINOVICH which will finally come out in 2012 and also worked on an episode of FRESH HELL, Brent Spiner's hilarious new web series. I also walked the red carpet for Shriekfest's opening night party and the feature film "Garbage".

Appropriate for October, my spooky screenplay THE SISTERHOOD won 1st place in the Horror Screenplay Contest. Then I made a cameo appearance in the web series CHRIS/TINA which is about a transgender teenager and I was also added to the cast of the film DYSFUNKTION with Sally Kirkland and Andy Dick which shoots 2012.

For Halloween, I attended the Scream For a Cause charity event where, after hitting the red carpet, I was interviewed by the glamorous Dawna Lee Heising for the "Eye On Entertainment" show.

November and December had me busy working on a new screenplay: a writer from Ireland contacted me to help take his script to the next level. Re-imaging his script has been a fantastic challenge and I hope to have it finished very soon. I also have another chap who's writing a screenplay with a role just for me!

Last, but not least, I've had meetings with some wonderful new friends in the biz and we may join forces to cook up something amazing for 2012. (Yes, that's a teaser!)

In the meantime, hope all is well with all you who stumble upon these words.

Be authentic. Be thoughtful. Be fabulous!

All the best,

~Gregory
